Katie Owen, MSW Ms. Owen received a B.S. in Psychology from Guilford College and a Master of Social Work degree from San Diego State University. She currently works as a Brief Treatment Counselor for the CASBIRT Project. Her work history includes nearly ten years of experience in the Social Services field, including several years of Case Management and Program Management for an Independent Living Skills program working with teenagers and young adults in foster care. She also worked for nearly three years doing community education and outreach on domestic violence and sexual assault. Additionally, she held a one-year internship placement offering individual therapy for persistently mentally ill adults, as well as an additional one year internship placement conducting individual, family, and child therapy with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. |
