Georgi DiStefano, LCSW Ms. DiStefano received her Bachelors degree, with highest honors from City University of New York: Richmond College and her Masters in Social Work from State University of New York at Stony Brook. Currently, she is the Executive/Clinical Director for the San Diego State University Foundation Center for Alcohol and Drug Studies and Services, DUI Program, a $ 2.7 million program. Ms. DiStefano provides corporate wellness trainings and substance abuse seminars for a wide variety of organizations, including the National Association of Social Workers, Viejas Casino, Horizon HealthCare, City of Temecula, County of San Diego and SeaWorld. In 1991, Ms. DiStefano was awarded the Clinical Social Worker of the Year by the California Society of Clinical Social Work, California Chapter. She is also the only American recognized as an honorary member of the Japanese Social Work Association, having completed five lecture tours to Japan, training doctors, nurses and social workers in chemical dependency treatment. In June 2005, Ms. DiStefano was honored along with 20 other professionals from around the world at The 70th Annual Alcoholics Anonymous International Convention in Toronto, Canada. |
