The SBIRT Academy offers services through the SDSU Center for Alcohol and Drug Studies and Services that
provide SBIRT specific support, training, education and evaluation to the health and human services
community. The Academy offers access to a highly qualified, multi-disciplinary staff that has decades of
experience in program development and research evaluation. Services include technical assistance,
organizational development, and consulting.

SBIRT Program Planning
Provides organizations with assistance in starting and maintaining an SBIRT program. SBIRT readiness and needs will be assessed and an implementation and sustainability plan will be developed. A detailed scope of services plan will be created.
SBIRT Health Educator Training
Key components of SBIRT are covered and training activities support the use of knowledge and skills learned in the training setting. SBIRT academy staff is also available to provide training in real world settings.
